RecoveryBuild APG expands to Falmouth Recreation Center

We are thrilled to announce the RecoveryBuild APG program has opened at the Falmouth Recreation Center (790 Main Street, Falmouth) to broaden access for teens (and families) from the Upper Cape.

RecoveryBuild APG is a 6-month program with two main goals: (1) to build competencies around recovery skills and relapse prevention, and (2) to help participants learn and maintain healthy skills while engaging in “substance free activities.”

The program is open to teens across the Cape with a history of substance use. They meet from 5 to 7 twice a week. Monday is dedicated to recovery-based treatment. A Clinician facilitates individual and group sessions which include building coping skills. Wednesday is Activity Night focusing on creating positive peer support through fun activities.

A Recovery Coach offers support to the teens throughout the week, working with them on strategies to attain their individual recovery goals. A Family Therapist provides support to the parents/caregivers at the outset of their child’s enrollment in the APG and continues that support throughout the program.

If you are concerned about a teen’s substance use, please do not hesitate to call or text 774-487-5227 to reach the APG Program Supervisor, Jeremy Wurzburg.
